How To Get Unstuck By Asking Yourself "What If"

No matter how stuck you are, there are always multiple solutions.

Let’s use weight loss as an example.
⠀⠀
Right now you’re stuck in a box of your own perceptions and filters.
⠀⠀
What’s inside your box is reality to you, and what’s outside your box isn’t real (to you), and no matter where you look (inside your box) all you see is the problem.
⠀⠀
Logic says, “if ‘this’ is the problem, anything that is not the problem is a potential solution.”
⠀⠀
But you’re not considering those other things because you can’t see outside your box.
⠀⠀
To help you see outside your box, ask yourself “what if” questions.
⠀⠀
Ex. “I can’t afford to eat healthy.”
⠀⠀
❓What if you could afford it? Where would the money come from?
⠀⠀
“Well, I guess I could afford some healthier food if I didn’t choose to get a mani/pedi every month.”
⠀⠀
❓What (would happen) if you stopped getting mani/pedis every month?
⠀⠀
“Well, my nails wouldn’t be as pretty, but I’d be able to buy healthier food and make progress towards my weight loss goal.”
⠀⠀
Ah ha! 💡💡💡
⠀⠀
You have now shifted your perception from not being able to eat healthy b/c you “can’t afford” it, to being able to afford it by being resourceful, i.e., looking outside your box to find potential solutions.
⠀⠀
Now the real fun begins; being honest with yourself!
⠀⠀
Do you really want to lose weight?
⠀⠀
If “yes”, then you’ll take the required action.
⠀⠀
If “no”, then you won’t (duh).
⠀⠀
But your “problem” is no longer an excuse, it is a CHOICE.
⠀⠀
And maybe the real question is: why are you choosing to remain stuck? 🤔
